TRANSPORTATION
Ecuador is a small country where the most conspicuous places can be visited, with a well tour plan, just in a couple of weeks, lets say a vacation time, taking advantage of the short time available combining with transportation schedules to tour most of the country .A combination of various meanings of transportation can help to save some time, for example instead of driving from Quito to Guayaquil may be better to fly from Quito to Guayaquil, or flying to the Galapagos Islands isntead of taking a boat.

Airlines
Local common air carriers are TAME, Aerogal, and Icaro, but there are other airlines also. Aerogal is also flying to Miami. Tame can take you from Quito to Guayaquil, Cuenca, Loja, Manta, Lago Agrio, Galapagos. At the arrival at the airport, from international flights, there are rental-car offices inside of the airport that offer van services to the visitors, but they are serious and safe. Be aware of some vans and taxis taken outside of the airport because some of them may be fake or not operating legally, and therefore dangerous for the foreign visitor specially if he does not speak Spanish. For the convenience of the traveler there are local travel agencies that offers specific package tours, including transportation. Also they offer vans only for the convenience of the tourist.

Bus lines
There are bus lines to go to any place in Ecuador, but be cautious, some of them may be inadequate or too old. Always find a good vehicle that fits your interest.
